No sound in Chrome
If everything else plays sound but Chrome is silent, the wrong output is selected in Chrome or it's muted there. Confirm your speakers first, then fix Chrome.

One Chrome tab has no sound but other tabs do — why?
Right-click the tab: if the menu shows "Unmute site", the site was muted — Chrome remembers that per site, not per tab. Also check chrome://settings/content/sound for sites blocked from playing sound, and on Windows the per-app volume mixer entry for Chrome.
